Just came across this on RB: LINK

Sounds too good to be true... I wonder if Orbitech will go after these guys next.

The prices are insanely low for LED:

20″ ($189.99), 24″ ($199.99), 36″ ($209.99), 48″ ($219.99) and 72″ ($259.99)

I can't find anything on the retailer page regarding pricing or availability. The bazillion photo thumbnails on their page is freezing up Firefox.

Exotic-aquaruam used to be a member here on the RC. Well for about a week. He kept plugging these things and not providing any factual information. I don't trust them, or their products.

Exotic aquarium is one of my LFS's...
The bulbs are for real and the pictures are for real.

Think of it this way...
For a 55 gallon tank you'd need 7 or 8 48" bulbs...
around $1500 LOL

We've been having a hard time getting long term data on these bulbs. I did a test on them in the store. With enough of them (8 strips), they do put out enough PAR to match a phoenix 14k 150 DE all the way down to 26". There is speculation that they are being overdrive and the life expectancy may not be very long, but the vendor is offering a 2 year warranty...

Who knows. All I can say is that the display tank they used to have setup on their web cam has been moved and look bleached out since the March pictures.
