Sun coral only open at night

I have had my sun corals for about a month and they still stay retracted almost all day. I feed my tank around 6 pm and have to coerce them to come out by blowing some food onto them. After an hour or 2, them come out fully and look great. By the time they come out, my lights are almost off. They seem to stay our all night now. Will they eventually open up in the daytime? Should I try and feed in the morning to make them come out?

Here is a picture of them at night

Well, congrats you have a thriving colony. Now you can train them. Keep putting back feeding time bit by bit until they are coming out when you want. Don't be tempted to overfeed and sometimes skipping a feeding from time to time and feeding a little earlier or at a new time of day can work too. Sometimes more frequent small portion feelings will help train them to open when you want and stay open longer IME. It just takes some time &'effort. With work you can have them stay open for longer & longer periods of time.
