sun coral question???

Looks great to me, nice and colorful too. What do you feed?? How often?? and How do you feed it??

Whats the coral beside it?? Sure looks neat.

Yes it appears to be doing just fine, he still has some recovering to do though so keep up with the heavy feedings and he'll continue to come around :thumbsup:

It's a slightly bleached Goniopora species.

jun_18T , if the bleaching has started to occur in your tank (ie, you didn't buy it like this) then I'd move it into a bit lower light.
 
It definitely looks like they're getting healthier! As they do better and better you'll see their tentacles start to get longer. I know it took mine a good 3-4 weeks before it started opening regularly at feeding time (I had to actually take it out of the tank and put it in a thick mixture of plankton and aquarium water to even get it to open in the beginning! It was in bad shape.)

It's a tragedy that more LFS don't cater to the special needs of corals like these. They really are great corals to have and with enough care they open during the day! I've had mine for 2.5 years or so and they open whenever I feed my fish and remain open for 3-4 hours afterward. Keep at it!

Also I've kept mine in anything from caves to bright Halide light and they do fine in either location. :)
