i have had a sun coral in my tank for 8 days now and have not seen it open yet. it looks healthy otherwise. what's a reasonable amount of time to wait for a sun coral to open?
thanks

I've been waiting about 3 weeks for one of mine to open. I've fed it outside the tank in a container with cyclops, mysis and selcon. Keep it with some good flow and use some silverside juice or something smelly :) lol

seclone gets mine to open right up.

ill drop.05ml in the tank 15-20 mins prior to feeding.

id suggest taking your mixture of cyclops and mysis and letting it sit in some tank water and seclone to thaw.

then before trying to feed, dump a little of the the seclone/funky water in your tank.

if they cant "smell" that, i dunno.

My dendros started to open when I put a couple drops of garlic in the water. they usually don't open unless it is night or if there is a lot of food in the water.
