Myself, aquafien, and our little whippersnappers invaded the fish store this Sunday afternoon. We rolled into Southwest Reef Company and were greeted warmly by a couple little mangroves growing in the corner. These were pretty cool to see. This is the kind of stuff i like to see. Something different for a change. So for those of you who haven't seen a little mangroves refugeum I would get down there and check it out. Also, the coral tub was set up complete with a calcium reactor and about enough flow to create a whirlpool. I'll be excited to see the acros take off in there. I also notice the DND skimmer running on the live rock pond Rob kind of showed us the bells and whistles of that bad boy and showed us what it had skimmed off. It looked like thick rich chocolate. Pretty cool. One of the features that i liked was the off gassing chamber. you could get rid off some unwanted CO2 when running a calcium reactor. We talked to Israel while we were there and rickotile was there putting in some voluntary hours. Rob hooked Kev up with a few small goodies. and the reason why were out and about was because i cracked the bulkhead and Rob was the only one in town that had one. So thanks, once again you have saved the day. So anyway we stopped by both stores down in that area and it was nice to see that they were both very busy. The parking lot at Coral Island was filled to the gils. There was a line at Robs register. So lets continue supporting our local fish stores because sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. Not just the kid that works in reptiles/small dogs and stocks cat food most of the time. Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.
