sundial snail?

I have this little guy in my tank, i think he hitchhiked on some of my LR. He's really tiny, maybe a few centimeters from end to end. He has similar markings as a sundial snail, but he's not as flat as those seem to be. I don't have any zoas, and there isn't much else in my tank that he can bother as of right now.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Nope that's some kind of whelk. Do you by any chance have any LR from the Carribbean? I had a couple of these and that's where I got them from. IMO out with it, I don't trust whelks.

it kinda looks like a bummble bea, but not quite. is it yellow n black? Na, i doubt its a bummble, its got those cross lines..

Okay, I was just pointing out that a bumble shell is different than that, therefore I was not arguing that it was not.

Not you bud, couple of replies before yours ;)

It's in the same genus as bumblebee snails, so it's a decent assumption that the behavior is the same. It is predatory, mostly on small worms and mollusks, but it's unlikely to cause any noticable harm in you tank.
