Sunlight Supply New Wave ????

They are T5 HO, although someone has recently told me that these can rust???? isn't that the case with all lighting fixtures???

I was planning on putting this in a caopy about 4" above the water. It's not like it would be getting wet right?? so how could it rust???

A couple warning flags went up on that ad. 95% reflectivity is nothing to brag about... and they're not even close to the specs they give with "300% brighter than those without". Reflectors are good... but these are cheap. Second was "Major brand solid state electronic ballasts" If they're "Major Brand"... why not specify the brand?

I have no other info good or bad... just careful reading can tell you they're hiding something.

if "major brand ballast" and "german made 95% reflectivity aluminum" are warning signs for sunlight supply they can be ignored because those are the same specs and description they have given on every fixture and reflector they have ever made. they often use workhorse ballast for T5 but being outsourced they dont want to be tied town in the case of supply shortages. they didn't have to tell you anything like most fixtures. that is just letting you know if wont be junk.
likewise from T5, to econowings to highly regarded lumanmax the same 95% rating is used as it is with PFO and several other reflector manufacturers. that 4% you are looking for is not a big difference and 95% allows a small tolerance for imperfection.
