Sunpod for Aquapod24

I have had heat issues with my Aquapod24 7051, the one with the enclosed top with 32w lamps.

I tried a ICA chiller from nanotuners, but lasted only a week, plus I have to use more electricity (3)plugs in order for it to run.

So I am now thinking of just getting a Sunpod, yes I will have 150w HM lights, def a plus, but I would like to know about heat and temps of water before I do so. I will get better airiation inside the tank too due to not having a top. This might help on the temps as well. Anyone have a Sunpod on their tank, please help.

It depends on several factors and I am not sure it will help you.

#1. Air Flow in the room your pod is in

#2. Where in the room the pod is itself, near heaters etc

#3. Ambient temp outside of the tank, I note your in florida, what's in like in your place? Hot?

#4. Whether you will be using a fan system to blow over the tank itself (I would recommend it based on what you are saying)

The air is on 70-72 in the house, no heaters. I know its the temp from this unit. This unit sucks. I need to take this top off and get the sunpod, but am only worried that spending that much money on a new lighting system, if I will have the same results with what I have now.

I would say that this light is definitly money well spent. I was having some heat issues so i just bought a little fan that clips on to the back of the tank and it works great!
