SunPod Halide Fixtures?

[all-apologies]

Im in need of a 24 inch light fixture for my 60 gallon. I want to do (1) 250 watt in a fixture.

im looking around, not sure of what to expect. I cant do something to ridiculously expensive though. Maybe around 400.

I saw this, anyone know if it is good.

Add an electronic ballast: ~$100, MH and T5 bulbs: ~$100

Comes to just about $400. Quite a bargain.

what size is the sunpod you're running right now? Im guessing that it's a 24".

I have two. A 20" 250w and a 36" 500w, These are the 6th Current light fixture that I have and I was very disappointed with em. Both came with fan grills that was not cut properly and had no air movement at all while screaming like a banshee. I wrote to Current and I was told that they had no such defects. :rolleyes" I had read that some one else had the same problem with the fan grill after I had purchased mine. I ended up cutting out the whole grill area and adding a CPU fan grill. Much better air movement and now it's much quieter.
Other than that, I do like the bulb color and my corals are happy too.

Use 24" sunpods at work. Really like em. They are a small nice unit. The stock bulb is even a pleasing color. I have not encountered any problems like the above poster.

I like the idea of the smallness etc., but am not sure about the little led lights that go on the sides...

I have the 36" sunpod 150w x 2. It has been running flawlessly now for three months. Runs very cool due to the internal fans. Very quiet as well.
