Sunset Monti Placement

I bought a sunset monti a week ago and was wondering what the best placement for it is. I have the AI Prime LED with the monti 6 inches from the surface. Some of the skin has lightened in color a little. Should I move it down? What is the best placement for encrusting montis? Also, since it is ecrusting it can only grow on what it touches, so do all parts of the frag plug need to touch the rock or can there be a small gap in between?

If itso bleaching I would either move it down or turn lights down. Mines 3 inches below water line but not in a spot where it's getting blasted.

Yea I moved it slightly to the back of the tank so it's not so centered I'll see how it does.

I keep mine on an isolated rock on the sandbar (as with all my montis) so it doesn't entrust into other acros and grow over them (learnt that lesson) on sand it still grows well and has great color. Doesn't need a load of light
