Sunset montipora placement

Hey folks,

Got a frag of sunset montipora placed where the pictures show. It is almost in front of a power head and about 4 inches below the water line.

Is this a good place for this type of corals or to close to the lights and flow??

I'd move it down a bit and see how it responds. A little bit lower than that Urchin is in the picture above. This coral is really not that demanding when it comes down to lighting and flow IME.

Montis do not like light and flow as much as acroporas. So that might be too much for it, especially if you not acclimated it to high light.

Just got a decent size frag a couple weeks ago myself. I have mine only a few inches off the sandbed under T5's. Still looking great.

I moved mine to that junction you see right below the urchin, also snapped the pin from the frag. Not too low but about an inch or two lower than where it was. Directed the PH a bit away as well.
