Super changing zoas

we are conversing about captive polyps in captive aquaria. It is awesome that you can experience these polyps in the wild....but most can't. Can you take pictures? good luck

Water and light conditions are very different in those two places. Probably more different than two tanks.

Pics i can get, though on the Waikiki side... Surf coming on the North Shore, you won't see me in the water until spring over there. :)

Any database we can refer to, to try and figure out what regions our zoas came from?

A database would be great, but people on the retail side may not be of much help. Most pieces would have changed hands multiple times before the end user brings them home.

The importers and divers would have the only usefull info.

AHH! What you have there are polyps! THEY CHANGE UNDER ALL TYPES OF CONDITIONS!! I HAVE SAID THIS OVER AND OVER BUT MOST OF YOU STILL BUY NAMES AND NOT BY POLYP AND ORIGIN! A BULL BUTTKISS COULD BE A CHOCOLATE BUTT DREAM IF HIGHER LIGHT IS PROVIDED. Just an example of the stupid name thing and how polyps change under different circumstances..JMHO
zachfisherman thanks for bringing this up! BTW yours need more light

Whoa easy tiger... Reguardless very nice. ;)
