Super glue gel

just a quick question to double check.. if i use the super glue gel to glue a piece to the powerhead, it wont react with the plastic and have a reaction in the water correct?? i know sometimes they can re act when used with certian plastics..this is the same gel used to glue frags in place.. thanks..

I don't know about a reaction, but I've seen this done.

I used super glue gel all the time in my tank and have never had a problem. If you're worried, wait for it to be completely dry before putting it in the tank.

ok good.. maybe i was thinking of epoxy.. i read somthing somewhere about it creating a reaction.. and i forget what it exactly said..i use it for all of my frags too.. thanks..

I've also used AquaMend, if that helps.

i believe i read about an epoxy people were using that was causing a heat reaction or something.. i dont exactly remember..

Superglue gel causes a heat reaction when curing.

Yeah, but it shouldnt solvate the low energy plastics in a powerhead. If it sticks enough to it, go for it

Super glue gel contains few solvents. It's effectively a 2 part epoxy with part 2 being water.
