Super glue gel

I usually use the Duro brand that is commonly found at WalMart, unless a cetain someone has raided the shleves , but I can't find it anymore. Matter of fact, the label wasn't even on the card thing of the empty space. So my question is what is another good brand to use?? I think I am going to go to Lowes and Home Depot tomorrow to look for the Duro brand.

Wal Mart and Kmart usually have the Duro brand. At Kmart the tubes contain less (.07 oz compared to .11 oz I think). Most of the super glue gels work fine. IMO the Duro just forms it's skin once it's in water a little slower so it's easier to work with IMO.
Some big lots carry their brand. Home depot and Lowes would be other good places to look. Home Depot used to carry a good brand but I haven't seen it there in a while. I haven't raided the shelves in a couple of months I promise

I use "SuperGlue" brand Gel... I get it at BigLots, 2 pack for $1... I usually buy them out whenever I go...

I agree. They usually don't have more than 6 or 7 packs and I just get them all. Actually it's 99 cents (You know what Ben said)!

This is my favorite.

It's not a very good buy, but I never worry about the end of the tube getting sealed shut, which always happened to me when I used the tubes. It's ridiculously easy to use IMO, and even though it's more expensive, at frag swap time I would breeze through making my frags.

I always liked the Duro because of the thickness and the price. That Loctite gel is good, but so freaking expensive and the brands that I bought at the dollar store were a little too watery for me. I will keep looking around and see that I can find/like. Thanks guys for all the input.

I always hated that container (loctite) because you can never make use of all of the superglue.

That is why I buy the smaller tubes, just in case if they seal... I never put the caps back on because they will get glued on there... I leave a gob on the end, that dries and seals the tube... I pick that gob off when I'm ready to use it again...

Yes, you can. You just have to squeeze it really hard.

So who ends up with the red sores on their fingers from squeezing the tubes with one hand and takes all night after making frags to peel all the glue off?

I'm convinced there is still more in there... I've used pliers to squeeze it all out...

red sores is better than having them glued together...

The worst is getting it in your mouth....which I have narrowly avoided several times.
Another bad one is too let a glob go in your tank and your fish trying to eat it. I have read about people whoose fish have gotten their mouth glued closed that way:eek1:
I have chased super glue around the tank many times saying no, no, no!!!

I mounted a frag one time and put it on the sand bed. A hermit crab came along and stuck his leg in the still sticky super glue. He drug the frag (plug and all) around for 15 minutes until his leg came loose.

I use BSI. You can do a group by with some one having a business license and it is 40% off of retail

My foxface did that once but not to the point of glueing his mouth shut. He was not happy for several hours after that!
