Newbie question...about Biocube 32 filter chamber...

Hi there from a Aurora, ON, Canada. I am a brand new hobbyist. I mean, days old!

I purchased a Biocube 32. Set up seemed to go well. Just waiting for the water to clear. My question is about the Biocube 32 Filter Chamber. When the tank is running the filter chamber empties. Should I add more water?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide...

A pic might help, but you always want water in the chambers. You don't want the pump in there to run dry.

Yes. As long as the overflow is not blocked somehow it should continually be refilling the filter chamber. You will also want to invest in an ATO (auto top off) which will refill the filter chamber to replace evaporation. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need.

This ^^^. If the filter chamber is continually emptying, it sounds like the tank isn’t as full as it should be. Note that for noise purposes, many people, including myself, fill the tank so the rear chamber is just below where the main tank sits
