Look like a very nice terminal male, very nice coloration. How big is he? What happened to his tail? Look like its torn up pretty bad.

There was a great discussion on what constitutes a "super" male cirrhilabrus a couple of months ago and the consensus was that absent the uber-competitive environment in the wild, a "super" male would revert to a normal - albeit nice looking - terminal phase male. To me you have a very nice terminal phase male. BradleyJ has a group and I've seen great color variations in his photos of his Rhomboids ... He'd be more to have a more dominate male due to the numbers. Great fish ... good luck!

I find that to be very interesting.... Curious to know to what extent they will loose the coloration absent the females. I would consider a female for the Rhomboid...

I was always a big Lineatus fan, and dismissed the Rhimboid until I saw one at the LFS... The golden colors are truly breathtaking in person.....
