Superglue question.

Hi.

is it possible to put superglue on frag, then stick it in the water and attach it to a LR? Basicly the question becomes do i have to pull the LR out in order to to superglue something to it?

For superglue, the rock should probably come out. It's pretty runny, and you probably want to give it a bit of time to set before putting it under water. The epoxy a lot of people use doesn't have to be applied out of the water.

No you do not have to pull the LR out, use the super glue gel place a little on the frag place in water for a sec this will form a skin on the glue, than put a little more on the frag hold the frag to the LR and that should do it.

Hold it out of the water for a few seconds and let it set up a bit. I've had a hunk of superglue break loose and my clownfish tried to eat it, thinking it was food. Just be very careful! I got lucky, was able to shoo her away in time and avoided gluing her mouth shut.

Super Glue Gel will work under water, but I have found if you can take the frag and the rock you want to glue it to out of the water it works even better.

i've found that super glue gel works. i usually pull out the frag and dry off the based with a paper towel. then i put a fairly big glob of super glue on it, dip it in the water for a sec and pull it out so it forms a skin on the super glue glob, then attach it to the LR. you just have to get it where you want it, and then wiggle it a bit so the skin on the glue breaks.

pretty much what everybody else had said...:D
