Superman Mushroom Color

I have some Superman Mushrooms ( not rhod) and the blue seems to be fading. Tank parameters are all good.

PH 8.2
Alk 9
Calc 430
Phosphate 0.00 Colorimeter
Nitrates 0 Salifert
Temp is 78
Lighting is 250 wt MH Reeflux

Mushrooms are on the extreme side of tank not getting a tremendous amount of light as I thought it would be too much.

I'll try to get a picture but any ideas? Where are others keeping there's for best color?

Thanks,

Brian

I put my shrooms on the bottom of the tank under the shade of a couple of rocks. The fading may be it getting acclimated to your paramters as it may have come from something very different

About a week. They aren't really getting a huge amount of light but maybe they are still adjusting. They're growing and looks like there are some new one starting to form already.

then leave them where they are.. what do ya want babies or pretty superman an no babies..

What I wanted was to make sure that I was putting them in the place that they were getting the best flow/light for their needs. I was trying to ensure that I'm not baking them or giving them less light then they needed and looking for responses from people with experience with them. Not sarcasm.

Thanks. I'll keep it off to the side where it is and just watch it. They are expanding quite a bit, and was unsure if it was a good thing or they were looking for more light. Not reaching up or anything, just really expanding. I'm asking as I've never had this type before, just the Yuma's.

Finally got the batteries charged and could take a pic.

I have some (not sure if they are exactly the same or not) under t5's, some are directly under the light some are shaded some in high flow some in low flow and they pretty much all have lost their blue and now look a lot like the picture you posted. However, they make lots of babies and I now have probably 3x the number I started with earlier this year. Here is what they looked like when I got them.

My blue spotted red mushrooms looked great for about six months but have slowly begun to shrivel up. I had them under 130 watts of PC halfway up a standard 20 gallon tank. Their edges look burnt/dark with some bleaching near the center. Recently moved them to the bottom no change after a week and they are not reaching for light.

May be something else. I am going try a dip, aminos and iodine supplement.

Blue and green mushrooms look good, especially the shaded blues. I have a feeling my tank is too clean. Its nice not having any hair/slime algae but I think some of my corals are suffering.

Son has some like these in his Nano. Just gave a rock away to a friend who helped him out over the yrs with about 18 of them on it. This is all that's left from his Nano take downs. Flash on camera made them look all washed out in pic
