supplement my supplements. LEDs?

I've got my lights set up. Pretty happy with it. BUT, because the footprint is so big, its hard to get light to cover everything.

Not worded about PAR, but do LED get enough penetration to light an area 24-28" down?

Can you recommend LED products you've used and are happy with. I need them to be pretty small. The other problem is that every inch of my hood is filled with halide reflectors and T5s.

Sounds like a perfect application for the ReefBrite XHO LED Strips... they have awesome spread and will give your tank the boost your looking for. Check it out!

So do you think the 50/50 would penetrate deep enough to eliminate a dark/ dead spot JC?

I think one 15" would work and a small 420-460nm would hit another spot I wanna cover. Then I might be completely happy.....

Whaddya say JC?

I have Stunner strips on a cpl tanks for nightime/moonlights, and I think sometimes theyre too bright as moonlights. One of the tanks is 22".

They also sell them wee little reflectors now, that ought to help with penetration...if thats a concern. ;)

I've never used or seen reefbrites in person but I've heard theyre amazing.."pricey but worth it", I've read.

How do those stunners link together? I think they would work for three spots but they are 2 against the back wall, and one up towards fron right? Could I link em, or would I need different power supplies for all 3?

If I did that and threw one 15" up front, that'd do it if you think it'll penetrate.

Second Johny on the reefbrite. I have one 48" lighting up an entire 120 with no issue. Check out out next time you are over.

They link together just like powerbrites...you'd need only one power supply.

ABC Aquarium in Fairport stocks them and their accessories just as an fyi.
