Surface skimming wrasse?

Anyone see this behaviour from a wrasse?
Every day, all day for 6 months!
Can get his whole head out….very strange to me anyways.
Any and all responses appreciated.

Is there any known parasitic infestation that would demonstrate those symptoms? Is there such a thing as anxiety in fish due to confined space, even though the tank is plenty big? I've never seen it in any fish save for my days decades ago thinking I could keep a juvenile gar in a 60 g freshwater. It was full of some kind of worm, which ruined the tank when they all emerged. Can reefers have post-tank stress disorder? That memory is like yikes.

Maybe, but when the top is off, he still stays in, or at least, for now.

The only one I had do that was a jawfish and he did manage to get through the top one night.

He’s kinda annoying, splashes water through the net, makes a mess.
So if he gets out, which will be hard, tuff..
