surgery on crocea

Now, I have a nipper!!! 3 more clams (all crocea) started closing, did a FW dip, then- I noticed a sailfin blenny nipping, I haven't removed/ caught him yet- but will!! Yesterday, I moved the 3 clams and the "leather eater" clam all together - with one that is doing fine on the sand bed " Bat Wing". Center of my tank. The nipping seems to have let up, I believe this is- false hope. One clam did die last night and the others were still retracted today, untill my added " noon time light that runs 4-5hrs " came on. (I have 3- 250w for Daytime lighting and now a fourth in center) You guys think I should run "noon time" for longer period of time-- untill the clams recover?

Nipper is still on the loose, anyone make a mini spear gun! I moved the 4 crocea into another tank last night. They are looking alot better today. the one that ate the leather is still no better, maybe a little worst. Leather is still there and it is not opening its "mouth "as far. Removal by force will happen next week if improvement is not seen by then!

With shipping, the 2 crocea I lost were $120, so I am now more willing to ?!!! I also lost 2 of 3 very small maxis($35 ea). Right now, I guess it was the nipper-(ripper)- they looked healthy one day then the next day after work large pieces missing!

to anyone still interested, all the clams I moved are doing alot better!! the one that had the small piece of leather in it--its still there, but the clam looks very good. IMO not as good recovery, as the others! Sincerely, Thanks to all, for your help!
