Suzuki anthias

Did a search and found nothing on these guys. My local lfs just got a group in and I reserved a pair. I want to put them in my 57 g tank but just wanted to check to see if that would be big enough or am I just dreaming.

They have had them for over a week and they are eating and doing well. I am away for a wedding this weekend and figured I would ask before I got them. They will not be upset if I cancel my order.

Thoughts?

I don't know about suzuki anthias but I did have a pair lyretails in my 90g 2' x 2' x 3' long tank and they looked cramped. Are they a deep water anthias? If they are it mite be ok but I think must like to swim alittle. One of the main reasons you need to feed them a few times a day.

the only anthias species i know with suzukii in the scientific name is Rabaulichthys suzukii

i have a trio and they are easy to keep.

the males have large sailfin like dorsal fins.

Lemonlemon those are the ones. Glad to hear they are easy to keep. Just could not find any info on them

they are pretty rare and very beautiful.

So I went and picked up two of these guys today and just snapped off a couple of camera pics of them. The colors they are displaying is the stress colors so they don't always look like this but the sailfins are amazing:

Settling in now, ate some live brine and live blackworms. They are returning to normal color, and swimming in the rock work right now. I will try to snap off some better pics but like most fish they are probably going to take a while to settle in.

Thank you all.

We are feeding 3-4 times a day right now with them in the tank. We are feeding many different things, live brine, live blackworms, artic pods, phytoplankton (not the liquid the frozen mini stuff) and they are eating like champs. We are going to throw in some rods tonight and see how they like it. They are very much rock dwellers and then come out and attack the food that is added. So far so good, they still look nice and have a nice round body type. No aggression out of them or towards them. My swalesi basslet is a little annoyed as they like the same hiding spots that he has had but no aggression.

Wow, never seen those before. Are they one of the more difficult anthias to keep like the Tiger queens?

Honestly there is really no information on these guys that I could find, so I am going to try and keep this thread updated with any observations I might have. They eat like pigs when food is in the water you just have to make sure it is food they like. They will put almost anything in their mouth but will spit some things back out. Live brine, live black worms, artic pods and phyto are taken very easily. I fed Rods and they picked some stuff out but did not go nuts over it like my other fish do.
