Swabbie stopped working

Ive had a Swabbie for about 7months. During this time it has functioned well. Recently I noticed that the skimmer cup has been dirty and I thought there was an issue with the timer. Unfortunately this is not the case. The unit does not recieve any power when plugged directly into an outlet. I suspect this has been going on/off for quite some time but now it is completely dead. How do i proceed?

did you take the squeegie and shaft off and see if the motor is turning and maybe the shaft is stripped out? that would be an easy fix (they would just send you a new shaft)

Justin from Avast emailed me on Sunday. He said to pull the shaft out and give it a turn with a pair of pliers. This did the trick! Thanks for the great, fast customer service (on a weekend) and an excellent product.

The problem came back again and I had to return the swabbie.

Hi Mai,
It went out on Monday- the motor had a bad gear so I replaced it. You should see it on Fri according to tracking. I must have forgotten to add your email address for the tracking updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.
