SWAP 07 POSTER for print

I managed to put up a few, at the pet store in Teays Valley -- they have fish, but only fresh. At Krogers in St. Albans (now gone & needs replaced). At Foodland on Bigley Ave. At my vet. I put them up and stand back. Very colorful!! However, at a glance I first see "CVRC" and wonder how many people outside of the club knows what that is. Then I see "Cook Funeral Home." Remember that people are walking by the poster. The mind doesn't wrap around this fast enough to grab a saltwater enthusiast's attention. Next time can you spelled out the whole club name in the bigger type, and downsize the location, upsize the theme of the poster and the date. Like Coral Frag Swap and Chemical Valley Reef Club being biggest. Once you catch their attention, they will stop to see where and when. Just a thought.

We tried that and everyone wanted the Location and date bigger, we even used maps on some before. The idea is to get the CVRC logo recognized once we have brand recognition we will have no problems.

Those posters are based on our older poster design, remember we usually posted these in LFS where people tend ask about them and are told about the club if they have any questions. MEGA SWAP 07 and "CALLING ALL REEFERS" are in bright red, and there are pictures of corals all over and in the background, I don't think we could make it clearer. The location and date are the primary content and as such should stand out, it's basic advertising design, after you see that your attention follows the rest of the layout. Also you can expect a lot of our posters will be removed from public places by our detractors who are out to stop the group from growing, and yes they are out there. As long as they are in most LFS we will be fine.

Thanks once again to Todd!!!! we now have a handful of much larger posters ready for hanging, if you want one drop by the shop but these are limited so only place them in well protected areas.

Thanks Todd

Bump. OK everyone, lets get this poster printed and plastered everywhere! I would love to see a record turnout for a non-auction meeting. :D
