So I understand some lps corals can be aggressive at night and put out sweepers that can sting other corals. I want to put some euphyllias in my new setup and have been considering spacing in regards to future growth. One question I have is are euphyllia corals immune to the sting of other euphyllias? Or does it have to be more specific like frogspawn immune to the sting of other frogspawn. Or is it still even more specific only frogspawn heads are immune from the sting from other heads in the same colony?
Common sense tells me the the heads in the same colony wouldn't attack each other. So I wondered if you fragged a head and "planted" it close by if they would still be compatible. Then I wondered if that compatibility would go further to other colonies of the species with different colors etc.
