I have a sweetlips in my tank with ich it seems. I saw the white spots 1 or 2 days ago, it was only 3 or 4, so I thought I would give it some time and make sure they are not air bubbles. I looked in today and the spots are still there, in the same spot.....but not many, like 5 or 6.
I tried to catch him, but he is just too smart, and I am worried about stressing him out and making it worse. So since I can't catch him I poured a in bottle of that crappy "reef safe" organic ich medicine.
So to my questions:
1) this fish is a strict carnivore, he only eats brine shrimp, and mysist shrimp....is there any possible way to do garlic with these kinds of foods? I have powdered garlic in the kitchen, would he have any effect from soaking the shrimpies in it before I feed it to him or will it all just wash off?
2) you think there is any chance that since the infection is only a few spots that he will overcome? I know it is hard to say, but has anyone had experience with mild infections? Do the fish normally overcome or does the disease normally get them? Is there anything I can do to help?
He is a fairly new addition in the tank, been in there 2 weeks. Luckily none of the other fish show any symptoms.
Thanks for the help
