Switched out bulb after one year do i reacclimate?

Just switched out a pair of phoenix de 150watt mh 14ks over my 55 gallon mixed reeftank. Do i need to use the mesh screening? It does look brighter. I bet if i would have switched em out a the recommended 6 months i wouldnt have to mess with this huh?

I switched them also because im thinking they might be the cause of my cyano outbreak recently.

Yes, you should re-acclimate them. Get a couple layer of screen and put over the tank for a couple weeks. Taking a layer off little by little.
