Switched socket outlet

Hello. I was wondering where I can buy the switched socket outlet. My RO resevoir is about 50' feet away from my tank and think that I will need to buy this to be able to use the osmolator. Also when you use this does it still have the 10 min safety so that it continually will not pump? Could I use say a mag3 or 5 with the osmo? Does it plug into the controller? Would I have to run a extension cord to the pump where my resevoir is to plug it in? Sorry for all the questions as I am unfamiliar with the part. Thanks

The best in my opinion would be to lengthen the cable from the osmolator to the socket with speaker wire. We have the switched sockets in stock, they can handle any pump that uses less than 150W. The 10 minute time out still applies. It just connects to the same terminal as the pump and the low voltage signal flips a relay in the socket and turns on the pump.

So do I order it from you? I can run 50-60' of speaker cable and it will still work?

If the speaker wire is of a high enough gauge, I would use 16 gauge for such a long run, it should work fine. We don't sell this item direct, only spare parts, but any of our dealers can get it for you. Premium Aquatics and Champion tend to be very good with special orders and Marine Depot may actually have it in stock.
