Switching from 18500K to 14000k

Currently lighting my 12gallon LPS/Sofite tank with 1 sps birdsnest under 18500K light from my AI Prime at 45% power, I want my corals to grow more than be appealing in color right now. How quickly can I adjust my AI Prime to 1400K at 40% since lowering spectrum increases par I found my watt output was both 12watts at these settings. Should I lower down 500K every week or am I able to do it faster or slower?

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'd just switch to the new kalvin and then slowly work up your intensity, 5% a week until you hit what they can handle. Or just leave you k setting an up your intensity slowly and see how it goes.
