swivel on magnets clarification

I've read comments about the lack of or reduced swivel motion of the stream when on the magnet holder. Can it not rotate at all or just not as much? I've got mine mounted on the rail at about 30deg now but would like to get the magnet holder. Will this work? Thanks, Jason.

It loses some of the degree of swivel but not all of it, we have a new swivel arm, I haven't seen it yet but it works on the existing pumps as well and should be out in a month and it keeps the same range with the magnet as you have with the rail.

Roger, I just got a pair of 6000s and a 7095. I love it, but am also interested in the magnet holders. Can you please post a notice when the new type comes in and will be available from distributers. I don't want to order a set then get stuck with the old style.

Nothing is changing about the magnets, the change is the swivel arm which came with your pumps. The new one will be out in a month and sell for $3.65.

Thanks for the info Roger. I picked up a 6080.50 today. Those are some strong magnets!

A couple of observations, the stream bracket does not click into place as noted earlier somewhere in this forum, but the setup does seem secure. Also, I can not mount the stream as high as on the rail system because the bracket slides down a ways into the magnet holder and magnet can only be mounted as high as the bottom of the brace around the outside of the tank. I thought this might be a problem with my sand bed but I have it positioned ok now and will be fine tuning it over the next few days.

Thanks again, Jason.

I put a pic in my gallery.

The brown bracket that the stream swivel arm mounts to slides into a track on the magnet holder. There is no vertical adjustment as on the rail system, the whole magnet assembly can be moved up and down instead.

The reason I went for the magnet holder is my canopy rests on the sides of my tank so I couldn't clamp the rail assembly to the top of the tank. Instead I screwed the rail directly to the canopy with 2 drywall screws, but then I had no horizontal adjustment. I like the magnet holder, but if the canopy was not in the way, I probably would have stayed with the included mounting hardware.

Roger the 6080.23 will allow me also to place the Stream a little bit higher on the magnet?
I wish I could move up the whole magnet but there's something that keep it about 2 inches away from the top.

does anyone know if and where I can get the part that extends the stram on the ?

Premium should get them Monday if they didn't get them Friday, keep in mind it usually takes a dealer a day to get things put away and inventoried, especially considering it likely isn't the only shipment they recieved. Mariowar- they will not increase the height capacity, usually about4" from the top is as close as you won't to be or the pump wil create vortexes and take in air.

Roger any word on the 6080.23 part being sent to the Salty Critter??? Been waiting for them to come in and just want to know when. Thanks

My bad, we had emailed about this sometime ago, and I forgot to write it down, I am going to send them in the next couple days.
