Sylophora? Birdsnest? Doing bad?... Too much flow/light?

I have some acros, montis that are doing very well in my tank. I have very intense lighting and rather high flow. My params are all good(otherwise I believe the acros would be doing poor. But for some reason my Sylo's, and Birds have very poor PE, and bleach.

Lighting: Single 150watt DE 14k phoenix.

Flow: 1x Mp10 Reef Crest/70%, Mag 3.5 return/200gph, Tunze 6015/450 gph

Maybe they just can't handle the intense lighting/flow?

Any thoughts are welcome/appreciated! :D

I do not believe lighting is the issue, maybe initial placement but not lighting in respect that it's too intense.

You really need to put up some values parameter wise.

I looked at your tank thread, the tank looks great BTW, it also looks relatively young. If sps are bleaching and not loosing tissue I would move them down.

Thanks, The tank itself is about 1 month old, but all the liverock, and water is 1 year old. I had a 40 breeder set up but decided to put in a 20 long instead. I also moved the stylo on my frag rack and it seems to be doing a little better.

If you have ultra low nitrates/phosphates the alkalinity that high could potentially be causing the burning/bleaching.

I think you are correct on this one sir... I have been scanning the forum for my problem.

1.Recently did 2 water changes on my red Sea 250
2. Turned on my GFO/carbon reactor for a day
3. Increased my ALK over 9 dhk from 6

Corals=water probably too clean- worst color I have ever had.

I wanted to "increase the color" of my corals/mostly my monti's.. since then I think I messed it up.
