t-5 lighting

I went to Wet Pet's in Norman this last weekend and upgraded my 260watt PC fixture to the tek-light HO T-5 fixtures that Steve is selling now. I bought the 6 bulb fixture but am only using 4 of the 54watt slots until I get a bigger tank. But anyways, I just wanted to rave about the massive difference it made overnight! Every last coral in my tank, save the red open brain, is loving the light. The very next day after putting the fixture up I'm getting extensions on my Euphyllia that I didn't think possible, the newest member to my reef, a green fingerprinted bubble looks like he's going to POP! Kudo's to Steve's !

Yes we got our T5 fixture in from Aquatinics. It has 14 ATI bulbs with all in use. I must say its very colorful. We'll be placing my 3x400 watt MH with VHO fixture up soon for sale as soon as we clean it up. Thats how satified we are

14 bulbs! wow. I think if I put something like that over my tank I'd end up having fried fish for dinner.

I personally can't wait to add T5s over the 75g. I'm going to try to get ahold of a PAR meter and take measurements of the light intensity with just the bulbs, with the VHO reflector, and with a parabolic reflector. Though it's obvious that the parabolic reflector will be the one with the highest reading, I would still like to know what the other ones will be at.
