t-5 lights

i have found some t-5 light fixtures at a good price
and a company that is suposed to be a good one
the first 24in light i have seen with 6 t-5 bulbs

Its finnex t5's. They don't have individual reflectors. There about the same as a current nova t5. Not good. But for a FO or FOWLR will work ok.

cost alot less then the nova and nova doeant have a 6 lamp 24in
as for just good for a fo or flowlr
i know a few people that have corals that do great under then in a 25 gal set up no problem with growth or anything

oh and they do have a mh with t5 also if you are afraid it isnt enough lite

what did peope do in the 70,s and eightys before all this new lighting how did they get enough light for corals
it seems people forget we didnt used to have mh and t-5 or power compacts
just vho lights but for some reason now there cant do what they used to do lol
i understand todays lights are better for corals and stuff but to say it will not work well thats not true.

also auqasun has a 24in 40 watt bulb t-5 ho to put in the t-5 lamp fixtures

In the 60's and 70's people didn't use to keep the kind of corals we do today. MH's, PC's and T5's were the reason we can NOW keep the corals. You can keep pretty much anything under a pc, vho or those t5's, you just have to have a very shallow tank. If you were to try this under a large tank, have fun with killing corals.

I second reefgeek.com. great product and prices. greg is nice but not the most outgoing person. you have to really pull info from him. but i never shop anywhere else for my T5s.

yes i agree but to say you cant keep anything but fish under the lights is wrong
and the 25gal finnex isnt that big so these lights would work great for it
