T4I what settings

Im in the middel of reading the book and reading online about the t4i. I just bought my daughter one for school and was going to use it for some tank pics. What setiings are you all generally using. I have the lens that comes with it (18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft and I got her a upgraded lens that is 55-250mm.

What would you recommend I use got coral etc?

Most read the stickys up top then look at the manual for the camera. Every tank has different lighting. You'll need to shoot in raw. The stickys above explain everything.

A lot of the stickies are out of date and don't explain much about how my camera works. Some of the links don't even work. I know the basics and to shot In the raw etc. Just trying to see what settings most are using and if the 18-55 lens will work fine or will I notice a huge difference with the real macro lens.

Your camera really isn't any different from any other camera. Exposure works the same on all cameras; film or digital (reciprocity failure aside). The macro sticky explains the difference between your lens and a real macro lens. Whether you need one or not is up to you.
