T5 20k

I've heard the rumor somewhere that there are T5 HO bulbs available with color temp higher than their popular 11K. Is this true? If so, who sell these high color temp bulbs?

"Blueplus" bulbs are pretty close to a 20k spectrum

The Blueplus/actinic plus T5's from D&D is about the same color as a 12K radium halide. Don't mess with the no name stuff, you never know what you are going to end up with.

the old ATI blues were listed as a 20k bulb

So, summing up that T5 HO come in (for reefs) in 6500K, 10000K, 20000K, and actinics.

Is there anything that goes 14000K? or this is just MH realm?

11000k is the aquablue bulb

aquablue = 60% actinic blue & 40% 11,000K

The Aquablue is very close to the brighter 14K halides. An approximate 50-50 mix of Actinic Plus and Aquablue/GE will get you a solid 14K look.
