T5 bulb selection for bubble tip anenomes

greaps

Hi, I'm putting together a 6 bulb T5 fixture for a bubble tip anemone tank. What bulbs would bring out the best color with rose, and green anemones?

I have a few ideas, I want the reds and green to pop.

Combo #1

ATI True Actinic -- 2nd timer, with overlapping
ATI Blue+
ATI Purple+
ATI Aqua Blue Special

Id go 2 coral+, 2 true actinic, 2 blue+ for just bta for maximum fluorescence with still a little realness to the look. Avoid the aquablue special. Powerful
Bulb but the excessive green and yellow peaks in the spectrum really are overpowering and will dull down fluorescence

Thank you, I am just about ready to press the buy button on your suggestions, anyone else want to comment on that bulb selection?

I'll add a suggestion to my own suggestion. I really like the true actinic bulb. It's not terribly bright but I love the color it provides. A lot of people aren't as big of a fan and try to maximize brightness as much as they can so they avoid the true actinic. If I personally were going back to a 6 bulb t5 arrangement, on anything other than an acropora dominant tank, the above combo is what I would use.

I would however suggest you buy one or two EXTRA blue+ bulbs just in case you don't like the look of the actinics and want a brighter look to the tank. Just so you can experiment some

Thanks, yeah I think I'll like the actnic, but ill grab one extra blue+ encase the dawn dusk is darker than id like.

Purchased! Thanks for your suggestions, I did a little research on T5 dusk and dawn combinations, and went Blue+ and True Actinc for it.

Thinking of this bulb order, I am retro fitting a fixture to adding a ballast for two sets of bulb controls, so I am figuring out where to place the dusk/dawn bulb set, I figure they should be placed next to each other or the colors wont blend.
