T5 conversion

I"m coverting to a 48" 8 bulb T5 Tek fixture from 2x250 watt MH's. I have some sps and sofies in my 120.

Anyone out there have any experince with converting from MH's to T5's?

I went from a single 150 MH to four 24 watt T-5 HOs.

I just took the old light off and put on the new ones.

I have since added 2 more for a total of 6 bulbs.

I have softies and LPS, no sps.

I'm using the nova extreme with the stock bulbs. I'm going to change bulbs at the one year mark. There is a huge thread in the equipement forum. I'm not sure what colors I'll go with yet, but Marinedepot has a sale in Oct.

And that's one reason I switched. I want to tweek the color I get.

I hated spending $80 for a bulb and not liking it.
