i just got a 75 gal rr tank and i have a workhorse 7 ballast. i would like to keep soft corals and some lps if poss. from what i have found the workhorse 7 will run 4 f54; which are the 4ft tube bulbs? will that be enough light for my regular size 75gal?
this is the site i have for the wiring. http://www.fulham.com/Find_Process.php
anyone know a good cheap place to order the bulbs from and which would you guys go with for a 4 bulb setup? feel free to pm me or email me.

also does anyone have any old bulbs and or sockets they would like to sell? i would like to use some old bulbs while i set it up.

i will get some pics up once the dust has settled and my internet is fixed. this will probably be a sort of build thread as well. lol.

i have a 20 long (i believe that is the size) that i am using as a sump which i need some plexi (that i will be searching home depot for soon) to make a filter sock holder.

i would really like to make a closed loop system or buy some power heads cause it is really lacking in flow. haha

Thanks all for looking. i am really excited about getting back into the hobby again!!! i know its not a huge tank, but it will do for now.

I just purchased 9 -39 watt T5's from Champion Lighting. Great bulbs and even better service. I've had bulbs break 2 times during shipping and both times they immediately sent replacements. Our local UPS drivers deliver in a golf cart and to save trips back to the truck their little trailer gets overloaded.

I would go with at least 6 bulbs if you want good growth.

Just my 2 cents.

i just got all my stuff from reefgeek greak customer service packaging was awsome and i have two 4 foot blue plus here with reflectors and a ballast no endcaps. but sitc sells them for like 12 dollars a set witch is cheaper than online and they have them in stock. just give me a call.

I second reef geek. I order the 60" bulbs from them and they came packaged well and unbroken.

On the ballast, it will drive the bulbs normally. 3 to 4 54 watt 48" t-5's. Also get some good reflectors they will make the world of difference.

On T-5's one of the key to the life and intensity is to keep the bulbs cool.Make sure to blow air directly over them all the time.

no i didnt see yours. have a pic? i didnt want to get all fish geek at your party. lol. i did want to look how you fit that massive skimmer under there as well as how you kept it so quiet.
