T5 Lighting question

What do you think of T5 lights? Better than VHO? What about operating cost and bulb replacement. A cheaper option than MH? As good?

i'm running a current nova t5 extreme light system right now, but if i had it to do again i'd get some of those t12 vho systems. they seam like more bang for the buck and also seam to have more options for lights.

i have never ran the T12's; but i do like the coverage and color i get out of the four giesman/ati bulbs i was running. Just a couple days ago, i think one of my T5 bulbs burned out ( haven't had time to trouble shoot yet). So i switched over to a 250w MH setup i already had. The color is much different, however, i see more shadows because of the MH. I miss the T5's

I'm running an Aquactinic's TX5 fixture on my tank, I like the coverage and my coral's seem to enjoy the light. I'm using free lights that came with it right now. I plan on adding ATI and Geisman bulbs in the future, the bulbs usually cost betweem $25.00 and $35.00 a piece. It's important to get a fixture or DIY with individual reflectors to get the best results.
