T5 lighting

It only recommened the 8x54W because that's what he mention. i'm running 6x39W (4 overdriven on IC660) on my 65 gallon (slightly taller than a 75 i believe) with no problem at all. I've got an SPS frag on the very bottom, and temp stays between 77.0 and 77.5
I bought my IC660 used and wired it myself, about $300 for entire system. If you don't want to both with DIY stuff, go with reefgeek for fixtures and DIYreef for bulbs and parts.

Yes, a 65G is 24" tall. A 75G is 20" tall. 6 x 54W is fine. Use good refectors and a good choiceof bulbs.

sjm817,
i live in California , and my house does get around 80 the highest in the summer without running A/C. would i still need a chiller or a fan would do fine? and i was told for my 75gal tank that i would need this setup 8x54w to keep SPS in tank (growth / color). i was thinkin of these to fixtures let me know if they are good or not.

I dont think 8 bulbs are necessary. I think 6 would be fine over a 75G and save you 110w.
