T5 question. please help

I am looking to buy a 24" 4x24 watt nova extreme HO fixture for my refugium. need to know if this unit runs hot at all because it will be in my stand where the doors remain shut most of the time. Plus would like to know if the people that have used or are using them happy with the unit or should I cough up extra dough for a unit that runs at a colder temperature if there is one at all. any info, advice, and recommendations would help. I am currently using 2x96 watt pcs that are cooking my refugium and not allowing my stand doors to be shut because of heat issues. plus the the fixture is too long. thanks 4 looking and info.

Wattage is wattage. Weather you have 150w MH or 150w T5HO.

Heat is heat. Running a extra fan will help with the output of T5's and prolong their life.


MH's heat is more or less directed in one area, while the T5's heat is spread over the length of the bulb.
