T5 Supplements

I currently am using 2 96w PCs for my actinic supplements but am thinking of going to T5s and using four of them for actinic and 2 for 10000K when I am not running my halides ( Just for viewing). What kind of a ballast should I use to run a total of 6 54w-HO(3ft I believe that is the correct wattage). Also will just a pair of actinic T5s be brighter than my current PCs? I am looking for more actinic than I currently have so would just 2 T5s pull it off or is the 4 that I am thinking better? I am planning on getting individual reflectors for each of the T5 bulbs.

If you get ind. reflector for 6 t5, you almost could go t5 only.
3ft are 39w btw.

4x is a good suplement, 2x actinic, 2x aquablue.
with 8x you could just remove the mh.

Tagging along, because I have the same need. I have 2x250 XM 10k's and 2x96 03's all mounted in a reflector over a 72 bowfront, but find that I need more actinic.

What bulbs, DIY ballast and connectors, and mounting would you recommend, and what reseller would one go to buy them?

Ya I am wanting to know the same. Mainly what ballast to use. I can find the hardware but any suggestions on good sites to go to would be great. I kind of like the MHs but want more actinic. Still not sure on going all T5. I am putting it over a 6 foot tank so I would put 2 of the 3ft bulbs end to end. Are the T5HO actinics a lot brighter than what I am getting from my PCs?
