How many of you guys run ATI aquablue special and are getting the pastel coloring?

I run an ATI aquablue special but I don't have any problems with pastel colorations. IMO pale and pastel colorations have more to do with corals not getting enough nourishment rather than changing a bulb combination. What are you feeding your corals? Try increasing your feedings as long as you have a skimmer that can handle the nutrient export.

You could also try cutting back your photoperiod. Photoinhibition can be a problem especially with high PAR T5 bulbs like the aquablue special and can lead to pale coloration.
