Isn't this bulb supposed to be purple?
It's way more white than that in reality.
1x39w Drived by a Workhorse7, alone on one red.

Well why mine is white with some blue?
I run all 13W fluo bulb in the apartement and if I run the UVL 5 minutes and shut it off, all is soo yellow it's disgusting lol.

The UVL is a VHO bulb, I don't know if the WH7 was driving it at 39W or 60W.

My Amp probe read 1.4A @ red wire of the bulb, 120-180Hz, Voltage reading was funky.

120V 60Hz in, 0A was read on the black lead.

Yeah it does emit UVA, but it's actualy more white in than blue in real.

Why would it run @ 54W? Fulham website say the WH7 can run 39W bulb, I doutb they would overdrive them? It should self regulate.

How those ballast are working? 220W / 4 red wires = 55W/wire Max?

If the lamp looks white is mut seriously be getting overdriven somehow. A WH 3 will run a 39 watt T5, the 7 is listed for 54 and 80 watt lamps.

Ballast input: 120v 0.3-0.4A (36-48w)

Doubt it's overdrived looking at these number.

I'm waiting on a second reply from Fulham about running only 1-2-3 lamp on the ballast.

Here's a more realistic pic:

Here is what the 54W UVL looked like on my 90G driven by a Triad. Its the bulb on the left

If the lamp was being overdriven enough to make it look white that paper would probably be burnt from the heat. You may have just got a bunk lamp, try posting in the Ice Cap forum an see what they think, they helped UV lighting develop that lamp.
