T5s vs. VHOS (not actinics)

I know the whole T5 vs VHO debate has been beat to death - but from what i found only actinics are compared often. What about 50/50 and Daylight bulbs?

I am looking to supplement my current VHO actinics with daylight or 50/50 bulbs. I just want good bright blue\white color.

With the exception of actinics, my understanding from guys like "The Grim Reefer" is that T5s mop the floor with VHOs. This is, of course, with the understanding that you are using SLRs with the lamps.

white vho bulbs look like crap, and there isnt very many choices. to me, they all look pink.
