This is a set of questions for all of you Leaf Fish(Taenianotus triacanthus) owners out there. More specifically anybody that has a pair of leaf fish.
I've been scouring the net for information about their spawning and cannot find anything, even in the scholarly literature.
I've heard of leaf fish spawning in aquaria, but cannot find any documented evidence.
So I figured I would come and ask all of the hobbyists that can relate all of their first hand experience for me.
If you have Leaf Fish and have witnessed spawning in your tanks, I would appreciate as little or as much information as your willing to give me on the following questions:
1) What is your general tank set-up?
2) Tank parameters (Temp. & Salinity, light cycle, etc.)
3) With what regularity have you seen spawning?
4) Where/how are the eggs deposited / layed
5) Have you attempted rearing the fry at all?
