Tail Rot?

Setup:
115g DT, 33g Sump (established for about 9 months)

Params:
pH 7.9 (low?)
dkh 7
calcium 420ppm
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0

Fish:
1 lawnmower blenny
2 bluegreen chromis
1 cleaner shrimp
2 osc. clownfish (ORA)
1 melanarus wrasse
1 copperband

The fish were added in the above order (starting with the lm blenny first, ccb last). I added the ccb about 2 weeks ago.

Up to this point, all the fish in my tank have been model citizens... no aggression, etc. All eat VERY healthy between flakes, pellets, mysis, brine, and even chopped krill every now and then.

This morning, when I went downstairs to check on everything I noticed that the smaller of my two clowns has its tail like halfway missing? The tail was almost like it was bitten/chopped off. Also, it's black coloration is not as dark as hit has been in the past. To tell you the truth I hadn't been looking at it for the past few days so I don't know if it happened overnight or what. Tail rot? Or bitten off? The two clownfish have been established in my tank for about 2 months now. All of the other fishes coloration/fins (including the other larger clown) are perfectly fine.

I have formalin and erythromycin that I am going to put in a QT to treat it for now, but I want to know that the underlying problem is. any ideas?

The only thing that I have changed over the past month in my tank is switching from Red Sea Pro salt to Reef Crystals (LFS only carries RC and I hate to pay for the shipping). Also, yesterday I started dosing two part for my corals (dosed a bit more alk then calcium b/c my pH is low and wouldn't mind to make my dkh higher). I only dosed about 90mL over a period of 6ish hrs (raised my dkh 1).

Formalin cannot be administered on a fish with open wound. Erythromycin is effective against gram positive bacteria, while marine fishes are most susceptible to gram negative. I would recommend using Maracyn II saltwater at double dosage or doxycycline.

Look for a hitchhiker crab at night/set up trap, he can be causing the damage.
