I have a tailspot and he's doing great. Just hangs in his spot. I was hoping he'd eat algae but he doesn't seem interested. Would a lawnmower do better and if so, can I add one or would they be aggressive with each other?
Rather than getting a fish to eat algae, I would recommend figurin out the root cause of your algae problems. Likely caused by high nitrates and phosphate, but why they are high must be figured out. Adding another fish to eat it won't help much as it will just poop and give the algae more fuel.
