Take a look!

Here a couple of my favorites from my rock. Feel free to use them if you like them:

The site is really coming together nicely!!

Great! I'll add them tonight. Questions:

I'm guessing that the Red Reef Crab isn't dead in this picture, right? How the heck did he get on top of the urchin?

What type of crab is the second one?

Which hitchhiker are you referring to in the third -- the tree sponge, or the other thing in the background? What is it (brain coral with tentacles extended for feeding?)?

Thanks!

Bryan

The urchin has little tube feet that it uses to move around. They pick up all kinds of stuff with them, mainly shells. If you notice there is also a live blue crab attached also.

A bigger version of the crab riding the urchin. Richard calls it a Red Reef Crab. Some have refered to it as a Red Mithrax (sim. to an emerald crab, but red).

Yes the brain coral is what I was refering to. The "tree sponge" is actually a green Montipora Digi that I put in later.

Thanks!

Bryan

Thanks for the answers! What do you feed your brain coral to keep him healthy and happy?

Also, what kind of urchin is it?

Bryan

I think your new website is great! It is much easier to read, very informative and easy to navigate. I did notice a few typos though (i.e. in the descriptions for all the critters.)

One of these days I will bite the bullet and re-do my sad tank. I really want to get some rock from TBS but I don't think I am ready. I am still trying to figure out all the ins and outs of sumps, refugiums and the like.

I used to live in Tampa and never even knew you existed. In fact I lived not 10 minutes from your store! My parents still live that close to you (Twelve Oaks). Hmmmmm, I wonder if I should tell them that I am coming to visit them but really go see your store instead. :) Then I could take some rock home with me. Is it possible to transport rock 900 miles in the back of a car or a camping trailer? Would it survive?

Again, good work on the site!

I love the new website. I just spent an hour reading through everything again.

Bryan, do you design web pages for a living?
Richard, we have a lot in common. Some day I'm going to get back to the beach!

I have the 120 package. I don't remember the exact weights but each shipment was over 200 pounds and each cost about $130.
I used Delta airlines into Atlanta and it was a breeze. Easy to find and access and in and out in under 30 minutes.

Glad you like it!

Yes, I do websites and custom programming for a living. Fun stuff! Thanks for the figures -- I'll ad them to the website!
