Take care with the snails you keep

ya, pretty cool, seen these guys on a discovery channel special before... I guess some can get pretty big as well, maybe conch sizes.... now thats a good thought....

That's pretty wild. What's it going to do now? Sit there, extremely fat, until something comes around and eats it?
 
I believe they have one of these for sale in N. Tonowanda. They have it labeled as a tulip snail but it looks the same and they say it is a carnivore/not reef safe.
 
Many cone snails have toxins so severe, that if you get "harpooned", you will likely die. There are MANY types of cone snails, though. There is no benefit to keepeing one. Same as blue ring ocotpus, etc etc etc.
